Our AML and Verification Policy

This page sets out, in plain terms, how we verify your identity, monitor transactions and meet our anti-money-laundering obligations under Curaçao licence 8048/JAZ2023-045.

Our Commitment to AML

Castle Casino operates under Curaçao licence 8048/JAZ2023-045, held by Castle Gaming N.V. That licence binds us to the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing rules of our jurisdiction, and we treat those rules as the minimum standard for everything we do.

We apply the same standards to every account, whether you deposit AUD 15 by PayID or move larger sums through Bitcoin. Our compliance programme covers customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, reporting obligations and staff training, and it is reviewed regularly by our compliance team.

When We Verify Your Account

We verify your identity at registration, and we complete full verification before your first withdrawal. We may also verify at any point when thresholds or activity patterns require it under our licence.

For withdrawals of AUD 8,000 or more in a single day, or where deposit or betting activity is inconsistent with what we know about you, we will ask you to complete verification before we process further transactions.

  • Government-issued photo ID (passport or driver licence), valid and legible
  • Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (utility bill or bank statement)
  • Proof of payment method ownership (card photo showing the first 6 and last 4 digits, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet)

How Verification Works Step by Step

Verification is done through your account dashboard. Most checks are finished within 24 to 72 hours, and straightforward submissions are often cleared faster.

We store your documents on encrypted servers with strict access controls. Only authorised compliance staff can view them, and we never share them with third parties except where the law requires it.

  • Upload clear, uncropped photos or scans of each document from your account page
  • Check that all four corners are visible, the document is not expired and your name matches your registered account name
  • Our compliance team reviews the submission within 24 to 72 hours
  • If anything is unclear, we contact you by email at [email protected] with exactly what is needed
  • Once approved, your account is marked verified and withdrawals are released

When We Ask About Source of Funds

For most players, ID and proof of address are enough. Where deposits are large, unusual or sustained at a level that does not match the declared profile, we may ask for evidence of the source of the funds you play with.

This is not an accusation. It is a legal obligation under our licence, and it protects you as much as us. Acceptable evidence can include payslips, bank statements, tax returns or documents showing the sale of an asset, depending on how the funds reached your account.

How We Monitor Transactions

Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes through automated and manual checks. Deposits below our AUD 15 minimum are declined, and withdrawals start at AUD 30.

We apply a same-method rule: we return funds through the same method you used to deposit wherever technically possible. If that is not possible, for example when a card issuer rejects a refund, we pay by bank transfer to an account in your own name.

Daily withdrawals are capped at AUD 8,000. Crypto withdrawals are processed within 1 hour, e-wallets within 0 to 24 hours, and cards or bank transfers within 1 to 5 days. We charge no fees on deposits or withdrawals.
